I'm in the process of getting my MGBGT prepared for my first season of racing, and trying to understand all the regs. I see from the entry form that all entrants need their own transponder. Which type and where from? Any suggestions for tyres for the car running in Class A? All and any bits of advice gratefully accepted.

I live in Scotland just outside Dundee, so none of the circuits used are near me. Looks like lots of miles towing a trailer.

Thanks,

Peter

OR if you dont want to hire one you can purchase one at
http://www.tsl-timing.com/Transponder%20Order%20Form.pdf
from TSL-Timing who come to all the meetings we attend and control and publish the results.

The difference between the transponders are
1)  If you race another car and wish to move the transponder between them you will probably need a Battery powered transponder so you can change between cars, you will also need another bracket then.
2)  If you only have one car you would probably need a Direct Powered transponder to fit and leave in the car.

Most of the drivers own their own transponders but you can start out by hiring if you want to keep your expense down this Season.

Only just checked back - been flat out trying to make sure my car conforms to all the regs.
BigH if you still have the transponder available, I'd like it. Just let me know how you want payment.
