Hi There
For the last year I have been restoring an ex Road Race MGB Roadster. 1840cc Scholar engined
The Vehicle in Question:,
Chassis Number : GHN5-204805
Reg No: PKX 191H
Tartan with White works hard top
I am reseaching the background to the car and am trying to put together it's competition history
I have a photo copy of the vehicle competing in the BRDC/BCV8 Championship meeting at Silverstone on August 29th in the year of ( I presume)
1988.
I would  be grateful if anybody could steer me to any place I can reference the race and the series.
Best Regards
Dave

Hi there, the man you need to speak to is Phil Thompson (my future father-in-law) who owned and raced the car up until '87, although he raced it under the reg. PKX 118H, he is 100% sure this is his previous car and, i quote, "built the Scholar engine with love"!!

You can contact him on transport@itfleet.co.uk, and he is more than happy to supply you with all his race history for the car.  Great to see that the car has survived all these years!

All the best

Richard

I have looked at the information I have, but it only goes back to 1989. I was racing in class A at that time, as was Johnnie Wheeler but I do not recall the car - many laps have passed since then!

What happened to Doctor Rod's archives?

Regards
